So, those of you that know me how much I am a sports fantatic.  Me being who I am for many many years, holding back to when I was 15 or 16 years old I can remember listening to Mad Dog start the show with ehhhhhhhh goooooood afternoon everybody, how are you today.

Well it ended with either mad dog resigning and or asking to leave.  Its been a fun run for the last 17 18 years.  My productivity in the afternoon probably hasn’t been what it should be.  They made all my drives from Rhode Island and Back in the college days bearable.

As for the relation to the kid, when H was a baby and would get fussy, I would always do the openning, and a smile would appear.  Who knows myabe he is the next great broadcast.  Probably not.

First of all thank you to eveyrone who wished me a happy birthday.  It was friday, and the wifey and my boy and dogs made it a fantastic birthday.  It ight be that I look back on my 34th birthday and start to think that it was a dream come true.

What did we do?? Well it started off with a quick breakfast and an awesome gift (a weather station, I know such a nerd) but that was awesome it was something that I have wanted for some time.  Then we were off to the great escape.  It was just the best time.  I think the wifey purposely let me take the baby on most of the rides.  It was just so much fun, hearing him go ooooo as I took him on th ebus that goes up and down, or on the rollercoaster, but most of all what was great when the ride stopped he cried, why you ask.  Cause he wanted to go on more more more.

After the great escape it was off to dinner and then we were all exhauted, but it was so simple, it was me having so much fun with my wife and child doing things I loved to do as a kid.  34 isn’t me aging, its me finding my youth all over again.  Thank you wifey and H, for a fantastic day.  May this be our best year ever.

Here, I thought barbeque sauce was just for cooking.

BBQ Story

According to this survey I just took that was about husbands in the 1930’s I scored well.  Something tells me I would score the same way if they had a quiz like this in the 2000’s/

As a 1930s husband, I am
Very Superior

Take the test!

It was a pretty typical Sunday here in this household, or so I had thought. What happened was not normal. See H had just taken his nap, I had napped with him, and before long wifey H and grandma had gone out to the mall. I stayed home chilled with the dogs did some cleanup, hung with the dogs. I took the dogs out about 4:20 or so and it was getting dark. So I came inside the house and turned on the TV a Sever T-Storm warning. Ok its the summer. Well a few minutes later they start talking tornado, thankfully no tornado but the rain/hail thunder was fun fun fun. Things were blowing so hard that I even took, the dogs the wifey and grandma into the basement til it blew over.

Here are some pics from one of the nasty storms I can remember in recent memory.

Does anyone remember this from the Karate Kid. Anyhow long story short our neighbor who I will keep out of the post, was in the Judo Olympic trials. Pretty darn cool. Anyhow for the past week or so I have been singing this song, doing my best karate kick crane impression, and just jumping all around. The little guy absolutely love is.

I am thinking about making this my ring tone even. I mean the Giants won the superbowl they are the best around, so why shouldn’t I be the “Best around” Enjoy the video.

So, this might sum it up simply, but there are so many things in life that are so simple that we take for  granted.  Just look at the world around you wherever you are reading this and I am sure you will find 1, 2 maybe 3, 4  or 5.  Maybe even more.  Do something as simple as going for a walk, and take a look at the flowers that your neighbors grow.

Think for a minute as to how the people feel with so little in this world.   I often wonder if people with less ponder as much as I do.  Most people don’t realize how much we truly have even those with nothing.

Hmmm, so take a minute and just ponder.

So its someone’s birthday today.  I won’t mention any names, I will tell you this.  She is the best mom in the world, the most lovable wife, beautiful, smart, intelligent, need I say more.  Go over and wish her a happy birthday.

I wish I could tell you all that I have been somewhere just phenomenal?? (Like these fine folks) Truth be told, I haven’t. Let’s see, I have gone to work on a regular basis, been to the doctor, head my blood work checked, Taken the dogs for walks (yes its getting warmer) started to pump out the pool which almost over flowed (good times). Scooped alot of poop that the dogs left for me in the backyard this winter (now that i can see the yard).

A notification on holidays.  I was recently engaged in a conversation around holidays and if business should be open on religious holidays.  As someone of the Jewish Faith, I have never “Gotten My Holidays Off.”  I know this makes people crazy when I say this but we live in a Judao Christian society.   If it wasn’t for Judaism there would be no Christianity.

So if my company is not closed I would go to work.  See thats the inequality that is faced today.  I have to use my vacation/floater days but the majority has never been faced with that decision.  My company is closed on only one religious holiday day.  That would be Christmas.     So in a sense i believe my organization has pretty much done it correctly.  It pretty much only gives off for American holidays.  So for people who work at a place thats open on a holiday just remember in this country there truly should be a separation of Church and State, and there are many people who have to make the decision to take off a holiday or 2 or all of them.

So I heard today it will be official soon.  Jason Kidd of the Nets has been traded.  Its an end to the winning Nets.  The nets that I never knew off until Jason Kidd got here.  Yeah, there were some winning seasons but not many thats for sure.  Jason Kidd took the Nets to 2 NBA Finals, and kept us in the game a long long time.

Thanks JKidd.  Thanks for the memories.
